  • Tregole Chianti Classico Riserva DOCG – an elegant Chianti Classico Riserva with a broad aromatic profile

3. Iberian White Wines

A great opportunity to try some shop favourite white wines that come from the varied landscapes of the Iberian Peninsula, from the craggy Atlantic coast that stretches from Galicia in Spain to Alentejano in Portugal to the warm, slate-covered hillsides of Catalunya. Just as varied as the landscape are the styles – from crisp, aromatic Albariño, to powerful, complex and oaky Rioja. The wines will be paired with tasty treats from the deli range.

5. Pérez Barquero Masterclass

If you like Sherry you’ll love Pérez Barquero’s wines from Spain’s Montilla-Moriles DO! Much further inland than the traditional ‘Sherry Triangle’, this is a region where Pedro Ximénez is king – and there’s no better interpreter of this noble grape than award-winning winery Pérez Barquero.

At this guided tasting you’ll try the extraordinary range of Pedro Ximénez styles that Pérez Barquero produce: from the palest, driest Fino to the darkest, sweetest dessert wine. You’ll also learn why, although they share the same Solera ageing and maturation techniques as Sherry, Montilla-Moriles wines have a crucial distinction.

What is included?

  • Vino de Pasto Fresquito
  • Fino Los Amigos
  • Gran Barquero Fino en Rama
  • Gran Barquero Amontillado
  • Gran Barquero Oloroso
  • Pedro Ximénez de Cosecha

6. Elite Wines of Italy

Try some of Italy’s most sought after red wines with this tasting of traditional Sangiovese-based wines and the rule-breaking Super Tuscans. You’ll enjoy a flight of six fabulous Tuscan reds paired with some appropriate nibbles. The wines tasted on the night will be available for sale at a special price to attendees.

7. California Gin and Negroni Sampling

CBA’s California Gin is a vibrant gin really capturing the essence of sunlit days in the rolling orange groves of Orange County. With a list of botanicals that includes Valencian orange peel, coriander, juniper and cardamom, it’s beautifully citrus, with subtle spice notes and a clean finish.

Great in a G&T, California Gin really comes into its own in that Italian cocktail classic the Negroni – which is why the team at Amathus have chosen to showcase it at a Saturday sampling during Negroni Week 2026.

Peter Barney, co-founder of CBA Gin Co will be on hand to offer you a sample of the gin and mix a Negroni for you to try.

Where & When: Amathus, Saturday 26th September  2026, from 12 – 5 pm

Tickets: Free walk-in event. No booking required.
