Wimbledon Village is THE place to party during the Tennis Fortnight and what better to get a place rocking than some great live music? So grab your friends, put on your dancing shoes and head on over. This is one party that you really don’t want to miss!
To get you in the weekend mood, each Friday from 5-6.30pm you can sit back and enjoy live music in the intimate and stylish setting of the newly refurbished Light on the Common restaurant while sipping on their 2-4-1 Happy Hour cocktails. During the Championships they will be shaking up their cocktail menu and serving up a range of Wimbledon specials so make sure you check out their website for details.
Over in the Rose & Crown on 4/5th and 11/12th July crowd pleasers The Modern Apes will be performing their entertaining sets of British Beat, R&B and Rock and Roll floor fillers from the 1960s, while on 6/13th July Coot is sure to get the Rose marquee rocking with their sets of classic tunes from the golden era of pop music.
At the Dog & Fox B4-99 will treat you to a whole host of banging 80s tunes on 11th July, while The Bloomsbury Group Band will be bringing their unique blend of musicianship, showmanship and spontaneity to the stage on Friday 12th. And last but not least, on 6/7th and 13/14th July you can enjoy local favourites wathefunk (pictured) perform late night sets from 9 pm – midnight. With their fab blend of pop, blues, and rock hits from the 60s to the present day they are sure to have you on the dance floor in no time!
