Join us for our first ever Village Dress Up Day! This new family event will feature the Wimbledon Village Stables Fancy Dress Horse Ride, face-painting, dog fashion event, arts & crafts activities, treasure trail and more.
Come in your favourite fancy dress costume and get a free Wimbledon Village badge!
Where & When: Wimbledon Village, Saturday 14th September, 10.30 am – 2.30 pm.
Event Programme:
- 10.30 am – 2 pm: Face Painting @ the Rose & Crown
- 10.30 am – 2 pm: Treasure Trail. Pick up your Trail Sheet and Goody Bag at the Rose & Crown, solve the clues and gather your sweet treats. Hand in your completed sheets at the Rose & Crown or Wimbledon Museum to be entered into a prize draw
- 10.30 am – 2 pm: Fairground rides
- 11 am – 1 pm: ‘Mystery Boxes’ Family Arts & Craft Sensory Drawing Activity at Wimbledon Museum on the Ridgway
- 11. 30 am: Meet the Stables’ favourite resident, Mr Fudge, on Rushmere Green
- 12.15 pm: Fancy Dress Horse Ride. Starting at the Village War Memorial the riders will parade through the Village to the top of Wimbledon Hill and return to the Stables.
- 1 – 2 pm: Meet the London Fire Brigade (and sit in a fire engine!)
- 1 – 1.30 pm: Fun-filled Taster Dance Class for 3 – 6 year olds with The Village School of Dance at The Village Hall, Lingfield Road
- 1.45 – 2.15 pm: Fun-filled Taster Dance Class for 7 -10 year olds with The Village School of Dance at The Village Hall, Lingfield Road
- 2 – 3 pm: Wimbledon Village Stables Open Afternoon – learn more about riding opportunities, meet Mr Fudge and how the horses and ponies are cared for
- Timings TBC: Dog fashion event at George’s Dog Boutique
Booking: No pre-booking required for most activities. Dance classes have to be booked in advance. Ticket price £5 per child with all proceeds going to Wimbledon Guild.
