As part of the Mayor’s Community Weekend, Wimbledon Windmill Museum is hosting an exciting pop-up family picnic on Saturday June 25th at 2pm. They are encouraging everyone who comes along to bring family favourite dishes to leave on sharing tables, and to sample other food from all communities.
There will be a whole host of activities throughout the afternoon to keep everyone entertained including an outdoor demonstration of nutritious, international flatbread cookery by the renowned Community Chef, featuring recipes from Senegal, South Africa and the Levant. There’ll also be a chocolate fountain, a conducted tour of the Windmill Museum – led by the millers who lived in it some two centuries ago, a Handicraft Workshop, and a Womble-style ‘Family litter pick’.
