Today is World Ranger Day and to mark the occasion, the team at Wimbledon & Putney Commons is launching a week long Wimbledon and Putney Commons World Ranger Day Fundraiser – to buy their rangers specialist tools – namely digger attachments – to help their work to conserve and maintain the Commons’ 300 hectares of woodland.
The tools will aid the team’s work in woodland thinning, clearing invasive vegetation, tree safety work tasks and for lifting heavy timbers for dead hedging.
