Join us in Wimbledon Village on Thursday 8th of May to celebrate the 80th Anniversary of VE Day.
We’ll be kicking off festivities at 6pm with tasty fish and chip cones available at the Rose & Crown and Dog & Fox. From 8pm the Wandle Concert Band will entertain us with live music at the Village War Memorial, where we’ll hold a Service of Remembrance at 9pm led by the Mayor of Merton. This will end with the lighting of a VE Day Beacon at 9.30. To round off celebrations we’ll be heading back to the Rose & Crown to enjoy some 1940s themed live music and dancing.
