Please join us in Wimbledon Village to celebrate Armed Forces Day on Saturday 27th June.
The event will begin at noon, with a parade through the Village from The Wimbledon Village Club to the Village War Memorial, where there will be a short civic ceremony at 12.30 pm, led by the Mayor of Merton and Merton’s Deputy Lord Lieutenant.
Afterwards, everyone is warmly invited to enjoy a community picnic on Wimbledon Common, organised by the Wimbledon Village Business Association.
Special fund-raising picnic hampers with goodies generously provided by local businesses Bayley & Sage, the Dog & Fox, the Rose & Crown and Wimbledon Brewery are available to buy in advance for £20. All proceeds from the hampers will be donated to Armed Forces charities.
