If you’re searching for fun things to do with your ‘little chicks’ this Easter Bank Holiday Weekend, look no further… we’ve got you covered!

 

 

1. Easter Crafting Workshop

 

Join Landlady Nicky and her friendly team for an afternoon of crafting, where the kids can show off their creative talents and make their own Easter Cards. And for grown-ups there’s live music to enjoy!

 

Where & When: Rose & Crown, Good Friday, 18th April, 12 – 3 pm

2. Breakfast with The Ivy Bunny

 

If you’re searching for the perfect Easter Sunday experience, then look no further! At Breakfast with The Ivy Bunny, your little ones can enjoy a delicious breakfast, bunny cookie decorating, chocolate treats, and bunny ears. Grown-ups can enjoy a set breakfast menu and will also receive The Ivy Easter Egg; a beautifully decorated, collectable egg-shaped tin, filled with melt-in-the-mouth Belgian chocolate truffles.

 

Where & When: The Ivy Cafe, Easter Sunday, 20th April from 9 am – 12.30 pm. Last booking at 11am.

3. Easter Colouring Competition & Face-Painting

 

The whole family can get creative at the Wimbledon & Putney Common Conservators’ colouring competition, which they are running alongside their ever-popular Easter Egg Hunt (see below). There are prizes for the winners in three categories: up to 8 years of age; 9 to 16 years of age; and grown-ups! And when your little ones have created their masterpieces they can also get their face painted!

 

Where & When: The Commons Information Centre, near the Wimbledon Windmill, on Easter Sunday, 20th April, 11 am – 4 pm

 

Cost/Booking: Free to enter and booking not required.

 

 

4. Easter Egg Hunts

 

@ WIMBLEDON COMMON: Follow the trails to hunt for the hidden wooden Easter Eggs with clues to gather – collect them all and claim your prize.

 

Where & When: Head to the Easter Gazebo opposite the Windmill to collect your entry form. The Egg Hunt runs all day from 11 am to 4 pm on Easter Sunday, 20th April

 

Cost/Booking: Entry fee is £3.00.  No need to book – there are no fixed start times.

 

 

@ CANNIZARO PARK: Enjoy a magical afternoon of adventure, treats, and community spirit at this annual Easter Egg Hunt. Plus you’ll be supporting a great cause – all proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to The Brain Charity, supporting those affected by neurological conditions.

 

Where & When: Cannizaro Park Sunken Gardens at 1 pm on Easter Sunday, 20th April (event lasts 90 mins)

 

Tickets/Booking: £10.99 per child (plus bkg fee). Tickets include a refreshing soft drink, delicious Easter treats, and an exciting activity! Adult tickets not required. Book tickets

 

 

5. Wimbledon Windmill Museum

 

After you’ve had some fun at the Common’s Easter Egg Hunt, why not explore the fascinating museum housed within the iconic local landmark of the Wimbledon Windmill? The museum has exhibits for both young and old, covering windmills and milling as well as local history and the Scouting movement.

 

Opening Hours: 2  – 5 pm on Saturday and 11 am – 5 pm on Sunday and BH Monday. Allow an hour to enjoy.

 

Tickets/Booking: Entry is free, but donations are gratefully received. Booking not required.

 

 

6. Easter Bird Walk

Join a local volunteer bird expert on a morning walk to spot and learn about the bird life on the Commons.

 

Where & When: Meet at the Commons Ranger’s Office any time from 7.45 am on Saturday 19th April. The walk will start at 8am and will last around 2.5/3 hours.

 

Tickets/Booking: Free, but donations gratefully accepted. Booking is essential. Book Now
