The April recital will feature Maria Thomas (oboe) and Julian Cable (piano/organ). Generously supported by the Tertis Foundation, Maria and Julian will be performing works by English and England-based composers through the ages, including Handel, Elgar, Dring, Binge, Woolfenden, and Cable.

 

This event is one of a series of Lunchtime Recitals held on the final Friday of each month, featuring local and international professional musicians.

 

Where & When: St John the Baptist, on Friday 24th April 2026 at 1pm.  The Church is open for refreshments from 12.30pm with delicious home-made cakes available. Attendees are also welcome to bring their own food and drinks to enjoy before or after the recital.

 

Booking: No booking required. This event is free but donations are welcome in aid of the St John’s Music Fund.
