Calling all Vermouth and Negroni fans…
Amathus Wimbledon is delighted to welcome Steve Drawbell, owner of Azaline Saffron Vermouth, for a free sampling session to celebrate World Vermouth Day.
To create Azaline Saffron Vermouth, drinks entrepreneur Steve teamed up with Gabriel Boudier, a family-owned Dijon distiller founded in 1874. Masters of flavour, they use a base of local Pinot Noir, enriched with herbs and spices from the ancient Silk Road, including the legendary Persian saffron behind the name.
Delicious on the rocks or with tonic water, Azaline has an exceptionally rich, complex, slightly bitter profile, meaning it’s also the perfect cocktail ingredient. On the day, the team will be pairing it with Gardener French Riviera Gin and Contratto Bitter to mix up a wonderfully dry, flavourful version of that mixologist’s staple, the Negroni.
