The Wombles Walk… Back To Plough Lane is a 5km or 10km sponsored walk taking place on 30th September in aid of AFC Wimbledon Foundation. The walks are open to everyone and are non-competitive.

 

The 10km walk circles Wimbledon Common, where AFC Wimbledon held football trials just over 21 years ago, while the 5km walk circles Wimbledon Park. Both walks end at Plough Lane in time to enjoy the men’s 1st team home game vs Tranmere Rovers at 3pm.

 

All participants will receive fundraising support, an AFC Wimbledon Foundation t-shirt and a training programme, created by Execfit, to help prepare for the walk. Rest stops with refreshments are provided along the route and all finishers receive a medal at the Cherry Red Records Stadium before the game.
