Discover the joy of sketching in nature with this engaging workshop. Learn a variety of techniques for sketching and recording a place on paper while exploring the scenic beauty of Wimbledon Common. The workshop will be taught by Katharine Rowe, a local artist known for her vibrant oil paintings of landscapes, still lifes and portraits. Beginners and experienced artists welcome. There will be materials available, but do bring your own sketchbook if you have one. Relax, connect with nature and let your creativity flow!
When: Friday, February 28th February from 2 – 4 pm.
Where: Meeting at Wimbledon Museum, 22 Ridgway, corner of Lingfield Rd, SW19 4QN. After viewing the exhibition A Brush with the Past featuring art inspired by Wimbledon Common, the group will walk over to the Common to get sketching. If it is raining, the workshop will take place at the museum.
