We love our four legged friends here in Wimbledon Village and thankfully so do many of our pubs and restaurants. Here’s a rundown of a few of our favourite spots to enjoy a date with your canine companion.

The Black Lamb

The Black Lamb by Local & Wild is a neighbourhood restaurant serving seasonal and sustainable food from local Sussex farms and pouring award-winning English wines. It brings the best of the countryside and the coast to the Village. A perfect place for you and your pooch to enjoy a  quick bite for lunch, a special dinner with friends and family, or at the weekend, a leisurely brunch or a sumptuous roast.

Rose & Crown

This traditional British pub situated on the Village High Street at the edge of the Common is super popular with dog owners. Offering a range of tasty food and an excellent drinks menu in a friendly and relaxed environment the pub’s sunny rear courtyard garden is a big draw in the summer while roaring open fires will keep you both toasty in the colder months. Whatever the season, you and your pooch are guaranteed a very warm welcome by the pub’s own canine-in-residence, Fred, the black lab, and his owner, landlady Nicky Green. Dog treats and water bowls are available for your four-legged friend to enjoy while you drink or dine. And as well as being a dog-friendly pub, the Rose also offers dog-friendly stays at a selection of its hotel rooms.

Megans in the Village

Megan’s in the Village is an independent neighbourhood restaurant, open for brunch, lunch, dinner, and cocktails every day. Head inside to the warm and welcoming interior that features an abundance of hanging lamps, exposed bricks and fairy lights with blossom flowers creeping up the walls, or take a seat on the pavement terrace and watch the world go by. This super dog-friendly destination not only has treats and water bowls, they even provide dog beds, so while you chill with a coffee, or chat with chums, your pooch can be happily chasing sheep in his sleep!

Hemingways

This dog-friendly bar located on the Village High Street offers all day eats and brunch treats, plus a great selection of cocktails and ‘mocktails’. Why not indulge in a ‘bottomless brunch’ and watch the world go by with your canine BFF from one of their pavement tables?

Vineria by Table@Vallebona

Vineria wine bar is one of the Village’s best kept secrets. Located in the beautiful hidden courtyard adjacent to the Table@Vallebona store, lit by fairy lights and candles and with heaters to keep it cosy even in the colder months, this lovely space is a perfect place to spend a lazy Saturday with your canine companion. Choose from an extensive selection of wines available by the glass and bottle, classic Italian cocktails, craft gins & beers and even sake. And if you’re looking for a light bite to accompany your drinks try their delicious pizza or nibbles.

Dog & Fox

This iconic dog-friendly pub with rooms is located at the very heart of the Village, next to the historic Wimbledon Village Stables. You and your fur-baby can enjoy the warm and welcoming atmosphere of the bright & airy bar and restaurant which serves an extensive selection of beers, ales, wines and spirits and  a comprehensive food menu with changing daily specials for you, and a ready supply of treats for your dog. The large roadside beer garden is a real draw in the Summer – the perfect place to hang out with your pooch and people watch. And like the Rose, as well as being a dog-friendly pub, the Dog & Fox also offers dog-friendly stays at a selection of its hotel rooms.

Carluccio’s

This long-standing Village restaurant is open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner, serving a broad range of classic Italian food and wine.  You and your four legged friend are welcome to head inside to enjoy Carluccio’s light and airy interior or dine al fresco at one of their pavement terrace tables.

Many of our Village businesses welcome dogs. To check if a store or venue is dog-friendly just look out for a ‘paw’ icon on their listing on this website.
