A Wimbledon International Music Festival Event featuring Antonio Oyarzábal, piano and Solem Quartet 

 

One of the most beloved works in the chamber music repertoire, Dvořák’s Piano Quintet in A major is paired with American composer Amy Beach’s Piano Quintet from 1907.

 

Spanish pianist Antonio Oyarzábal is renowned for his several albums of music by female composers, receiving five-star reviews in BBC Music Magazine, features in The Observer and ‘Album of the Week’ from BBC Radio 3. Recent highlights include concerto performances with the National Orchestra of Spain and a debut solo recital at the Wigmore Hall.

 

He is joined by the acclaimed Solem Quartet: Amy Tress, William Newell, violins, Stephen Upshaw, viola, Stephanie Tress, cello.

 

Known for bold, innovative programming, the Solem Quartet recently received five stars from BBC Music Magazine for their album Painted Light and made their Barbican and Southbank Centre debuts.
