King’s Arts 2026: David Olusoga OBE

Acclaimed British-Nigerian historian, author and BAFTA winning film-maker David Olusoga OBE presents a compelling live talk, ‘History’s Missing Chapters’, exploring overlooked histories and the forces that shape our world. Known for Black and British: A Forgotten History, Britain’s Forgotten Slave Owners and A House Through Time, his work combines rigorous research with powerful storytelling. A Professor of Public History at the University of Manchester and award-winning author, David brings unique insight, clarity and humanity to the past in an engaging, thought-provoking event not to be missed.

 

Discover history as you’ve never heard it before, as David talks about the stories, perspectives and people that have inspired and informed both his professional and personal journeys.

 

Copies of David’s books, Black and British: A Forgotten History and Black and British: An Illustrated History for Young Readers are available for pre-order at a discounted rate by Monday 8th June, or at full price when purchased at the event. Bring your copy along to the post-event book signing.

 

Food and drink will be available to purchase by pre-order at a discounted rate by Monday 8th June, as well as during the course of the evening at full price. A beverage is included in the ticket price.
